Kennedy vs. Cuomo for NY Attorney General?

Robert Kennedy, Jr, environmental activist and lawyer, may run for Attorney General of New York against his soon-to-be ex-brother-in-law Andrew Cuomo.

Andrew Cuomo had a short-lived fling with running for Governor in 2002. We support Cuomo for Attorney General. He supports repeal of the Rockefeller drug laws. Cuomo opposes the death penalty and asked New York lawmakers to end it in 2001. Now that the state Supreme Court has declared the law unconsitutional, Cuomo says:

"It is unimaginable to me that this governor and this Legislature will want to be known for having this one accomplishment," Andrew Cuomo said - "giving death to New York State. That would be the cruelest irony. They can't reform education. They can't reform the tax code. They can't bring jobs back upstate. The only thing they can do is bring back death? I don't believe they'll do it."

Read his op-ed in the New York Times last month.

Bobby Kennedy has been a one issue (environment)person his entire career. That's not enough for Attorney General. Let's hope he's encouraged not to run and he follows the advice.

Wasn't Cuomo connected to scandal and fraud in HUD? That 59 billion was lost and eventually blamed on computer error?

God help us in NY. One's the petulant son of a former Governor and the other is the nutty scion to a fading American dynasty. And by the way, they used to be in-laws,the primary won't be pretty. Actually, this could be fun. I guess we'll see.

A made-for-TV movie in the making. Murdoch must be getting a woody at the mere thought of this!
