Good riddance to bad rubbish. Though with this administration, I wonder who will be put up next. Maybe that chucklehead Dobson, as his org. seems to be responsible for most of the complaints to the FCC these days. Maybe They will throw him a falafel and try to appoint Bill O' Liely......

The guy that will be put up next, is a guy from the old mexican family that wants one ideal, "control for his family friend Bush!, you will all know some real bad times, this guy was a hit guy for the bush/fox business people inside mexico and this non nation. But our boys inside washington do want freedom for all our people, yes, yes, yes, I know nothing, and i see nothing inside the camp system. But how for some real fact's he will be helping his dad with the next move to become the next president in 2008.

It's amazing to me how many conservatives extoll free markets, but are unwilling to allow the media to follow that model. I figure, if the people of the US don't want entertainment that some deem "obscene", they won't watch. If they don't watch, the media loses ad revenue. Instead, they want the very "nanny state" they pretend to deplore, but only when it comes to their pet issues. Of course, these winguts ignore the fact they already have two great tools to control what is shown in their household: The V-chip, and the Off switch.

Does the FCC actually do anything besides decide what I can watch on tv or hear on the radio? If not, disband the mother.

“many conservatives extoll free markets,” Don’t confuse republicans with fiscal conservatives. Fiscal conservatives wouldn’t tolerate deficits or corporate subsidy. Republicans are terrified of the free market; of minds and money. “Does the FCC actually do anything besides…” The electromagnetic spectrum is considered a public resource; the FCC has been charged with regulating it in all aspects. This runs from licensing broadcasters to regulating content (read speech).

no great loss there. people apparently do want to watch trash tv. otherwise, shows like desperate housewives wouldn't be such hits. they also enjoy those beer and cialis commercials, during football games. as near as i can figure, it's easier to explain to red state children that cialis is to help with male erectile problems, then it is to explain what a woman's nipple is. go figure.

"Posted by Bennington: "Whatever the reason for him leaving--god IS on our side!" He said, as he cursed God for his galooshes getting sucked off his feet by the mile deep puddle of blood and baby brains his anti-Christian Fuhrer foisted on the country with the longest string of lies in US history. Oh, yeah, Jesus said all those things about materialism because he LOVES war for profit. Jehovah in the OT is a Nazi--a hateful, ruthless, cultic enshrinement of racism. Too bad you guys never read the NT (or the Dead Sea Scrolls, for that matter).

Another one bites the dust? Well, it all depends upon one's perspective, now doesn't it. Daddy just left the State Dept. and now Junior is on his way, too. And they are laughing all the way to the bank. They will soon be setting up shop as the latest D.C. power brokers or become well-paid props for the latest think-tank du jour. To be a high-profile African-American moderate Republican is to be both a much sought after commodity in today's political world - and a very rich man. They both made very savvy moves.

people apparently do want to watch trash tv. otherwise, shows like desperate housewives wouldn't be such hits. Hey! Desperate Housewives is one of the best shows to appear on TV in a long time. How intelligent comedy with no laugh track got to be such a runaway success is a mystery to me, but I'll take it.

Paul did you notice that in my post god is not capitalized? This is because I wasn't referring to the other God--I don't believe in the capitalized version, or the old or new testament!

Sorry, didn't mean to inadvertently slander you. It was a rather terse rejection. We all know these neocon traitors would happily re-crucify Jesus for their Roman masters.
