R.I.P., Jim Capaldi, Traffic Drummer

Dear Mr. Fantasy. Paper Sun. The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys...

Jim Capaldi, drummer for Traffic, has died of cancer at 60.

Steve Winwood on Capaldi's death:

"This is a loss to me of a lifelong dear friend and to the world of a great poet, songwriter and musician. I am proud to have been his writing partner on so many songs. Our sympathy is with his wife, Aninha, and his family at this time."

Jim Capaldi on his own death:

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.

You can leave your thoughts here.

R.I.P., Jim Capaldi, and many thanks for your great music.
