The federal judge that handled this case is Robert N. Chatigny. He threatend to fire on of the ross lawyers who is fighting for his right to die. This is the same judge "releasing dangerous child molesters and rapists from prison, but making them register under megan's law, was a violation of the molesters rights in 2001." He also gave a slap on the wrist for a man distributing child porn on the web. This was a girl being raped on film. would you want judge Robert N. Chatigny of the U.S. Disrtict court of Connecticut on the bench in your town?? You make the judgement.

I don't know about the judge in this case; however, I do think when making such claims as you do, ADAM that you provide proof. FYI: the judge didn't threaten to fire the attorney; he threatened "And you better be prepared to deal with me....it turns out that what Lopez says and what this former program director says is true, because I'll have your law license." (pg. 26) How I read the transcript was that Judge Chatigny had concerns regarding Ross's counsel doing an adequate job in exhausting all avenues and following up on new evidence.

"Posted by at January 31, 2005 05:23 PM.....Troll, perhaps One day someone who happens to be in the mold of michael ross will live next to you and maybe you would think twice about defending serial killers and child molesters." To whom is this directed? Regardless of Mr. Ross's crime(s), it has more to do with adequate representation and following up on new or additional information. I don't see anyone defending Mr. Ross's crimes.

If this is that guy in Conn. I think a stay is in order, after all doesn't he want to executed? If he wants to be executed, give him a reluctant stay, if not, times up for him. Even a serial killer has rights and he wants to die? OK by me as well by him.
