Congrats to bloggers Jeff Goldstein (Protein Wisdom) and Bill Ardolino (INDC Journal)who have gotten a gig as radio show hosts on RightTalk radio. The program is “The Citizen Journalist Report”, billed as "An irreverent weekly look at blogging, politics, culture, society and various potato heads in government and the media." March 24 is their first show, and I've agreed to provide some "irreverent" legal analysis of the Michael Jackson case and whatever else comes up.

These RightTalk folks are clever. They've co-opted the domain "lefttalk.com." Many people have written me to let me know that when they try to access talkleft, they get sent to righttalk.com. Not exactly. These readers have transposed talkleft into lefttalk by mistake, and when you go to lefttalk.com you get sent to righttalk.com.

Nonetheless, I'm trying to figure out a way to get even. Any suggestions?

    jeralyn, i noticed it's not righttalk.com, but rightalk.com, with one "t". any chance the former is still available to goof 'em with? i tried going to that edress, but the page couldn't be displayed. other than that, i'm at a loss. voodoo? maybe a homemade episode of punk'd, complete with planted hookers, drugs, and a steroidal cop looking for a payoff.

    even?...you're one up on them: the right is so terrified of you they have resorted to petulant and passive-aggresive tactics, and the best they could come up with was buying lefttalk.com. hmmmm. This is really specific to your site...I might actually take it as a compliment. Also, I wouldn't give them too much free publicity on TL - you're way better than their juvenile games :)

    Get 'even?' that's easy: show up on their show and talk left. Get 'ahead?' that's easier: get your own radio show.

    Excellent news. Rightwing bloggers get a radio show. That will provide a little balance against the right wing radio presence of Rush, et al. Wait a minute... This must be some kind of trick by the liberal media to make us think they have moved to the middle. But heck, if Goebbels was alive in America today, he would definitely be syndicated.

    They want your "irreverant" [sic] commentary? The first pre-requisite: drop the rightalk.com domain name. The second pre-requisite: They pay you well. You are being paid for providing them product, right? Because in radio and tv, that's exactly what commentary is. Forget about revenge. Take the money or ignore them.

    et al - Well, there is the Drudge Retort which is what you get if you leave "report" off Drudge's address. My advice? Ignore'em. You have too much class for such stuff.

    Protein Wisdom's coverage of Martha Stweart was by far the best. He was able to get his hands on her diary and published a portion for many of her days behind bars.
