Bolton: Not Yet

by TChris

Thwarting the administration's (and Sen. Lugar's) hope for a quick committee vote in favor of John Bolton, a Republican today joined Democrats who wanted more time to consider new complaints about Bolton.

"I've heard enough today that I don't feel comfortable about voting for Mr. Bolton," Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, said.

Bolton may be called back to testify before the committee a second time.

Voinovich was great -The Republicans will probsbly punish him by getting someone like The Exaggerator to move to Ohio (he does better in Columbus than Sacramento) And Norm Coleman --gag him.

Hearing the ongoing litany of abuse and retribution, I have to agree with Sen. Dodd - "this is a man we should be indicting, not promoting..."

Thank you, Senator Voinovich. All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

There was some great political debate going on in that committee today. It was refreshing to hear some passion out of these people. And it was good to see people like Kerry and Boxer and Voivonich in action. How anyone could have voted for Bush over a political pro like Kerry boggles my mind. Maybe the qualifications for president have changed. And thank you Sen. Voivonich.
