What lies are OK to tell in Grand Jury testimony? Is it OK to lie under oath about sexual acts with subordinates while standing accused of soliciting sexual acts from subordinates? Look, I couldn’t care less who was or is polishing Bill, and am in fact a bit nostalgic for those simpler times. However, when a man stands accused of sexual harassment by a subordinate it does matter if he lies under oath about sexual relations with subordinates. I guess it doesn’t seem as disgusting when you can find a worse scoundrel to compare him to.

I suppose it all comes down to what the definition of imminent is. Bush's impeachment isn't in the cards because the deck is stacked. The Democrats have nowhere near the power the Republicans wielded in Washington circa 1998. Nor do they have a 24 hour propaganda machine to help them. In fact, they have all of that and more against them. Impeaching Bush is a pipe dream - there's a greater chance that he'll have a Texas Airport named after him in less than a decade.

“If I remember correctly, BC was never accused of sexual harrasment by Lewinsky.” He wasn’t; Paula Jones accused him of sexual harassment when he was Governor of Arkansas. Since Paula Jones was a state employee when the alleged harassment occurred his proclivity for sexual advances toward subordinates became an issue for the court. He lied about his relationship with Ms. Lewinsky in that criminal hearing and later lied in his grand jury testimony in the investigation into his alleged coaching and intimidation of Ms. Lewinsky regarding her impending testimony. Anyway, that is my understanding, I may be wrong about some or all of the details.
