Former President Bush's Comments on Leakers

In April, 1999, former President Herbert Walker Bush, the 11th director of central intelligence, said at the opening of the CIA headquarters in Langley, Va, named the George Bush Center for Intelligence:

"I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are in my view the most insidious of traitors."

Yeah, but wasn't he the guy who said, "Read my lips: no new taxes."? Frankly, I don't see him as having a lot of credibility.

Hey, give George the first a little credit. Better to raise taxes than raise the deficit. It's called sound economics. His son is twiddling his thumbs while Rome burns. As long as him and his buddies get paid, he don't care about the future of this nation. I wish George the first would set his boy straight on this one. Rove is just too slimy, even for a political aide. If this is integrity, I'm proud to say I have none of it.
