Judith Miller's Husband Goes on Cruise

Too funny.

Famed editor Jason Epstein, husband of jailed New York Times reporter Judith Miller, has lately been making himself scarce at the federal facility in Virginia where his wife has been incarcerated for the past three weeks....In a frothy social column yesterday about a celeb-glutted Mediterranean cruise, featuring everyone from Isabella Rossellini to J.K. Rowling aboard the ocean liner Silver Shadow, the New York Sun's A.L. Gordon revealed:

"One passenger with his mind soberly on home is the literary icon Jason Epstein. ... Ms. Miller would have been on the cruise had she not gone to jail."

His wife's in the slammer and he cruises the Med?

As long as he's waiting at the gate when she gets out. Life goes on. Is there a list of approved activities while one's spouse is in prison?

Well, he has a choice. Visit his spouse or party with Isabella Rossellini. You think he's an idiot?

Yeah, I'm with DA on this one....a big deposit - nonrefundable - sail or sink option. It happens. Happened to my in-laws who gave us the tickets to Alaska on a cruise. We were uh, nobody....uh, never mind. Suffice it to say - we understand, we do. Say - will Jude Law be there?

I'm sure after living with Judy for who knows how many years the guy needs some alone time. And I don't blame the guy for choosing to possibly have some "quiet" time with Isabella Rossellini.
