The Democratic Loyalty Quiz

Take the Democratic Loyalty Quiz. It's got some humorous choices. I scored a 9 out of 10:

You are a pure, unabashed, die-hard Democratic loyalist. You are appalled by the way Republicans are turning America into a theocratic, corpo-fascist police state, and you'd gladly walk through a furnace in a gasoline suit to elect a Democratic president. In your view, there is no higher form of patriotism than defending America against the Republican Party and every intolerant, puritanical, imperialistic, greed-mongering, Constitution-shredding ideal for which it stands.

Your score is 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a solid Republican. You are not as fiercely ideological or uncompromising as others in the party, but nonetheless remain a reliable supporter. If you could have your way, you'd like to see Republican leaders take a slightly more pragmatic approach on certain issues - and dial down some of their nakedly partisan and bitterly divisive rhetoric. Short sighted, but fun I guess.

Your score is 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a passionate and unyielding Republican. You remain fiercely dedicated to fighting the twin evils of terrorism and liberalism, and you'd walk across a field of land mines if it meant casting a deciding vote for a Republican president. In your view, there is no higher form of patriotism than defending America against the Democratic Party and every elitist, French-loving, religion-mocking, America-hating, terrorist-appeasing ideal for which it stands.

Your score is 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a devoted Republican. You tend to walk in lockstep with the party, even if you have not agreed with every decision Republican leaders have made. The few differences you have are nothing compared to your complete and utter disdain for the Democratic Party and the elitism, cowardice, and godlessness for which it stands. Only 8 right, gotta work on that. I particularly enjoy the last sentance...

If the Democrats chose that course they are really doomed. 'Gasoline suits?' Isn't that like those Bhuddist fellows that did the same a generation ago in SE Asia? I can't believe that there is much hope in a Leftist movement that idealizes self-destructive behavior even if it is a metaphor. Perhaps that is why the Left is struggling to regain its former promenance among the more rational masses. The far-Left are going for the forlorn-hope to try to wrest the leadership of the Democratic party from the DLC. Lots o'luck because if you win you will alienate the middle-roaders in that party and they will move towards the Right. I think they call that a Pyhhric victory. (sp?). But then again sometimes a forelorn hope win the day, but only rarely. That's why they call it a Forelorn hope.

First one should know that the quiz is a joke, literally and figuratively. I took the quiz, and I'm disappointed in the results. It was push polling, outcomes based research and I still got 10 of 10. The only political party I hate worse than the dems is the repubs;-) But as my Dad used to quote: "Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried. - Winston Churchill" To others who were disappointed because they scored better than zero; try the Stalin quiz on the same site.

or a pyrite victory, i never could tell them apart! geez, i got a perfect 10, and have no idea what a gasoline suit is, or whether it's single or double-breasted. it was pretty amusing though. i think i'm going to have to check out the stalin quiz. personally, i think i'd make a hell of a dictator.

I decided to take the Republican Loyalty Quiz. Things didn't go well... Your score is 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a pure, unabashed, die-hard Democratic loyalist. You are appalled by the way Republicans are transforming America into a theocratic, corpo-fascist police state, and you'd walk through a furnace in a gasoline suit if it meant casting a deciding vote for a Democratic president. Interesting split between the demo test nad the GOP test. Demo 4 Your score is 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a moderate Republican. You agree with Republicans more often than not, but have misgivings about some of their hard-line positions, as well as the direction they are leading the country. You remain supportive for now, but if Republicans keep lurching to the right and taking their cues from religious fanatics and belligerent neocons, you may decide to jump off that crazy train. GOP 9

The blue states had to ensure that the Internet wouldn't displace too many teletype operators and singing telegrammers. The unions had to vote on it, and it took a while because they're afraid of electronic voting machines. (90% sarcasm)

Link For the record, I think Bush's social security plan is pretty good and could work. But this...this just...just read this: "Because the — all which is on the table begins to address the big cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculate, for example, is on the table; whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price increases. There's a series of parts of the formula that are being considered. And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those — changing those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be — or closer delivered to what has been promised. Does that make any sense to you? It's kind of muddled. Look, there's a series of things that cause the — like, for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase of wages, as opposed to the increase of prices. Some have suggested that we calculate — the benefits will rise based upon inflation, as opposed to wage increases. There is a reform that would help solve the red if that were put into effect. In other words, how fast benefits grow, how fast the promised benefits grow, if those — if that growth is affected, it will help on the red." —George W. Bush, explaining his plan to save Social Security, Tampa, Fla., Feb. 4, 2005 Well put by a man who clearly knows what he's talking about.
