    And the feds, who knew the situation, knew the demographics, who had the most resources to respond, did nothing even remotely urgently. A shameful page in our history. And it would appear obvious that the biggest threat to freedom is not terrorism but mother nature. I'm sure this administration will do next to nothing to address this reality. More tax cuts for the rich, and let's hope it trickles down. And is Michael Chertoff the biggest piece of unqualified nothing you've ever heard?

    Anyone who has spent a couple of days in New Orleans could tell you that the majority of people living there are black and poor. I'm sure Dumbya knew this, NO being such a good bar town. But then again maybe he was too soused to ever notice all the folks around him were of a darker complexion.

    I don't know what the point is jimcee...it's not like the pixies currently in power are unhappy with that status quo. Hey which way has the poverty rate been going since January 2001?
