Bush Promises to Get Bin Laden

Where's Osama? No one knows, but Bush is confident he'll get him.

"It's not a matter of if they're captured and brought to justice," Bush said at a news conference with Karzai at the war-battered presidential palace. "It's when they're brought to justice."

Maybe if he hadn't used so many of our military resources for an unnecessary war in Iraq, we'd have found him by now. I hope someone does a poll on how many Americans believe this lastest statement. I'd be it's fewer than the 34% who approve of his performance.

Bored tone: "I dont know where he is - to tell you the truth, I dont think about it." Till the numbers get low. Yeah, Bush dosnt look at polls, he's jest a straight shootin cowboy who does what he wants. Right Jjim?

kdog, I disagree with you on one point. As long as people continue to take these simple rhetorical deflections seriously, it will continue to be, as TBS would say, "Very Funny." Tell me you can't entertain yourself smoking a spliff and then turning on the news to watch Bush suddenly vowing, yet again, to "get" Bin Laden, with full knowledge that millions in their living rooms are buying it? I swear to God the man could get away with putting on a flight suit again and parading in front of cameras if he wanted to; he could get away with another "Mission Accomplished" banner if he wanted, for that matter. It's theater of the absurd, and if you can't laugh at it you'll end up going postal at some point. I prefer the former.

Glanton - He's used "Teflon Rons" failsafe technique for kid glove treatment from the media: tax breaks and deregulation. This putz will have to be caught on video participating in a Black Mass with OBL in atendence before his solid red base turns on him.

Jondee, Yes! I remember someone saying a while back that he could eat a kitten on live television and then newscasters would immediately come out with "commentary" that "sources close to the President" say the kitten was a suspected "ter'ist" and that all would be well.

Oh if only our media and our Democratic and Republican politicians had half the courage and guts of Barney Fife (rest in peace Don Knotts) and were able to nip all this Bush foolishness in the bud.

So they're telling us that with all their gadgets they can't find this guy anywhere on the planet? OK how about along one border? If Google earth was real time it would take about 10 minutes for someone to collect the 30 mil.

The problem is that OBL is always with people who they can't kill. Trading partners. Bush family business. Tora Bora, Besides he is more useful alive than dead. What would happen if we won the war on terror? Big dent in the Big Guys Pockets and a lot of little guys out of work.
