'Round the Bloggerhood

Update your bookmarks....Firedoglake has left Blogger for Wordpress and has a new address and great new design. And Reddhedd is using her real name.

The Guardian unveiled its new website today. It is modeled on HuffPo and Journalism Prof Jay Rosen says the Guardian is way ahead of other papers for recognizing that reader interaction is essential.

Speaking of HuffPo, Arianna continues on her Vanity Fair tear..yesterday it was the Marie Brenner article's take on Judith Miller , today she lambasts Ms. Brenner for her treatment of Bob Woodward.

Larissa takes on the Chicago Tribune for Saturday's Plamegate article and the Washington Post for its Bob Woodward-Ben Bradlee reporting. Larissa says Stephen Hadley was Woodward's big source. (I've been up in the air between Armitage and Hadley when trying to choose between them...Kevin Drum today is satisifed with it being Armitage.)

Crooks and Liars has the video of Ken Mehlman praising Joe Lieberman.

Raw Story reports on the Feingold censure and the Democrats' lack of support for it. Feingold says the Dems are cowering. Glenn Greenwald agrees, and McJoan at Daily Kos has the PowerPoint version. Think Progress has the Feingold video.

Richard Cohen in WaPo has a good column about how little the Republicans are "distressed" by the endless string of administration blunders. Then, just to prove he's not a liberal partisan hack, he jumps all over the Democrats. I winced, but he spoke the truth. If people like Hillary and Obama can't capitalize on the tanked Republican poll numbers, who in hell can? Look at the Democrats ducking questions and running around like chickens with their heads cut off after Finegold called for censure. What a joke. Things don't look good. But there's an old witch here on the island of Ischia who says she's seeing clear signs that after the upcoming full moon and spring equinox, some really good things will be happening in the world. Just watch, she says. Gawd, I hope she's right.

Why is it always incumbent upon the Democrats to clean up the repos mess? Every idea or plan the Demos have had has been co-opted by rovesputin and the repos and the msm has reported as how brilliant rovesputin was to do it and how ineffective the Democrats were to let him. What's the point? The repos have chosen to forgo all oversight responsibilities and act as a rubber stamp for shrubco until a few token actions recently. They control everything. The Democrats can't implement anything. The repos won't let them. Again, why is it their job to do the repos job for them? Why are the repos continually given a free pass by the msm when they got us into this fix in the first place?
