Tim Roemer Officially Drops Out of DNC Race

Howard Dean is the last man standing. Tim Roemer has dropped out of the race for DNC Chair.

It's curious that Roemer is still pitching that Dems need to be more inclusive and less divisive. What could be more divisive to Democrats than his anti-choice position:

Roemer said he hoped to make the party more inclusive, especially on the issue of abortion. He opposes abortion except in cases of rape, incest and the health of the mother.

Contratulations, Dr. Dean.

Funny, my wife is a very liberal Democrat who pretty much feels the same way about abortion. But we've had three kids, so perhaps that whole "fetus ain't people" thing seems a bit thin. What could be more alienating than condescension? -C

Stupidity and meanness always tend to alienate me a bit. I continue to be on the fence about abortion. I really hate the whole idea and I would strongly request that any of my family not go that way except in the case of the mother's health, but I am enough of a libertarian to feel that people should be allowed to make these choices with their doctors. I guess that makes me pro-choice. This all seems like a bind we don't need to be in if we would expend a little energy in contraceptive science, but that keeps getting stuck because it means people are going to be having sex when they should be saying no. I strongly admire those folks who keep preaching abstinence. I just wish they would stop having children and raising them to be little republicans. As for me and my house, we will enjoy sex, employ contraception and try to keep our population down.
