The man who shouted to VP Cheney live on the CNN and MSNBC interviews (Fox follows Cheney's every word. Where were they?) "Go f**k yourself, Mr. Cheney" is an ER physician named Dr. Ben Marble as noted here. He lost his home, too. What was Cheney's security's response to free speech? They found him at his half destroyed home and handcuffed him.

Marble's story is recounted on the above link. A friend videotaped it all, including the damage to Marble's house, and the DVD is for sale on eBay to help Marble rebuild his life. Price at this moment: $1935. The author of the linked article bid on it himself.

    Hmm. I must have missed the law that made it a crime to insult the VP. Did they bring back the Alien and Sedition acts while we were watching Katrina?

    Syniel, The Secret Service would never let that happen, even spontaneously. The SS really wanted to bust this guy, but that damned Constitution got in the way again. Marble didn't squander his opportunity to confront this killer. He was fairly civil compared to what I would have said (I think I would risk detention and attempt a citizen's arrest). Also I heard that the video was pulled from ebay for awhile. I wonder why?

    clearly, dr. marble is a threat to national security. darn good thing too, now jose' padilla will have professional medical help just a cell away.

    Jim, what led you to believe that insulting the Veep equates: "I blame you Cheney. You summoned the storm." This seems to warrant as much realistic consideration as my protesting of the war leading to victories for the terrorists. Your ability to make logical leaps and bounds astounds everyone. Insult Veep=Blame for the storm. Protest war=Aid and comfort to the enemy. Wow.

    Perhaps the SS took it literally and they know something about Cheney's medical history that we don't. 1) He has serious diseases (AIDS or Hep C) that can be spread by anal sex, and refuses to wear a comdom. F*cking himself would be a death sentence. 2) I he f*cked himself he would go into instant cardiac arrest and die. It is a crime to make death threats to the VP ergo arrest the MD who gave the advice. It is all quite logical.

    E-bay has deleted the auction. First they deleted it for profanityIt was relisted (and edited), but now it's gone again.

    Actually Johnny I didn't think you were intelligent enough to understand. It is always good to see someone leave the dark side. Johnny - Now if you want real logic, read Squeaky's comments at 2:01PM scar - How's hotlanta? Hope all is well. Oh, my comment. 1) I don't care if he is arrested or not. The Doctor is obviously distraught, and I would cut him some slack, just like those private security guards cut some slack for the people giving Hillary a hard time in the NY parade. And just like the SS did to the couple in Chicago holding up an insulting sign to Clinton. 2) I guess 1) answered 2). 3) for pointless I recommend Squeaky at 3:05PM. And your next question??

    It's called Disorderly Conduct and is a violation of the public order. While not a crime, you can still do 15 days for it. Still, priceless. I agree with Syniel: time to tell this whole administration to go @#$% itself any damned way you can.

    The V.P. should get out less often; though in this case he may have been helping to get Mike Brown sidelined.
