Rumor: 22 Plame Indictments Imminent

Bump and Update: The DC Rumor Mill says 22 Indictments are about to be handed down in the Plame investigation:

The D.C. Rumor mill is thrumming with whispers that 22 indictments are about to be handed down on the outed-CIA agent Valerie Plame case. The last time the wires buzzed this loud — that Tom DeLay would be indicted and would step down from his leadership post in the House — the scuttlebutters got it right.

Can it be a coincidence that the White House appears to be distancing President Bush from embattled aide Karl Rove? “He’s been missing in action at more than one major presidential event,” a member of the White House press corps tells us.

And just in time, Arianna has a new Judy Miller blog roundup.

Original Post:

Daily Kos and AmericaBlog say Karl Rove has been absent from many recent White House events and wonder why. Is he expecting bad news from Fitzgerald and being put in time out so Bush can distance himself from him?

Paul in LA: He figures that if he reaches China, his pals in the Chinese military will protect him from American law. Any idea what the penalty is in China for outing intelligence officers?

She seems like a sex addict pretending to be an alcoholic -- because the latter is easier to explain to your husband/wife/colleagues than the "icky" former

General Services Administration - Integrated Pest Management been working in the WH lately?
A coordinated system of technological and management practices to control pests in a safe, environmentally sound, and economical manner. It is a process for minimizing pesticide use and risk while maximizing the control of pests that affect public health, impede operations, or damage property.

Rove is in Dick Cheney's bunker, working with a shovel. He figures that if he reaches China, his pals in the Chinese military will protect him from American law.

keep in mind, he was recently in the hospital for kidney stones. could be a repeat; and considering the stress he must be under, more likely.

Rove has dropped from radar. Which raises the question, has anybody actually ever seen Rove and Mier together? If Rove/Mier gets confirmed can she pardon him?

Yes, yes, yes. But, Bush will pardon all including himself. There 22 politicos will have to resign but will become a moviestars, a new lucrative career for them. Of course Judy will write the screenplay, distlled from her forthcoming book. Lots of prison scenes I hear.

    Scar:
Back in the hell from whence it came?
You getting a little prescient lately, Scar? Here's a fun little article, from a slightly bizarre Hunteresque slant, but with more than a few grains of sanity in it as well. Great bedtime reading considering the past couple of days, and guaranteed to put a smile on most faces... ;-) When Bush Comes To Shove By Phil Toler (over at Axis of Logic) Oct 5, 2005, 09:49
Let us contemplate for a moment that the top aids of Bush and Cheney and the most brutal House Majority Leader to come along in a while could soon be in jail. Many believe it’s unlikely, but we’ll get to that later, somewhere near the end of the day. ... When you realize this crowd has been in cahoots for most of their adult lives, though ‘adult’ may be problematic for some, their deep ties suggest Grand Juries will be a cottage industry. ... Bulldog Fitzgerald can run with the ball in any direction he likes, and recalling that the CIA set this series of plays in motion many months ago, you can bet they have fed their man some tasty tidbits. ... How much closer do the dots need to be?
