Another Staged Media Event

by TChris

An activist who wanted to make a media splash with his demonstration in favor of a proposed Georgia law that would deny state benefits to undocumented aliens couldn't find enough supporters to join his protest, so he paid fourteen homeless people $10 each to hold signs at a rally.

Gross partisanship ahead: isn't paying protesters usually a liberal tactic? A quick looksie suggests so. I don't see TChris complaining about it when his side does it.

Somehow I'm going to guess there's a bit more to this than TC or the AP is letting on. The article quotes State Sen. Sam Zamarripa. For more on him, click here.

BMB, American Patrol's hardly what I'd call an unbiased source of "information" about anybody. Neither is VDare. And Roy, your google search link does not support your assertion.

And Roy, your google search link does not support your assertion.
In the first two pages of results, those items about action in America are 9 unsupported accusations against the Left, 1 unsupported accusation against the Right, and 2 against groups I couldn't categorize.

Roy, In your first page of results, two are stories about the same event, one is from NZ and another from Russia!

Roy, your own use of the word "unsupported" says it all. At best, your google search shows that the left is more commonly accused of paying protesters -- which is a very different thing.

True. Actually, two were about Russia, I didn't count either. Nor the New Zealand one. The two stories about the same event were about a city who "paid protesters" a legal settlement after police abuse, so I didn't count either. If my little link is really interesting to anyone I can post my half-ar*ed analysis, but the effort we spend on it is about to exceed its value. They're unproven allegation. I meant the link to be illustrative, not conclusive.

This and this seem more conclusive, published by somewhat reputable sources, with unambiguous quotes. Labor unions paying temps and homeless people to picket. To make up for using so much bandwidth on so little substance: I wonder if King verified the work eligibility of his protesters?

Roy's attempt at trolling is PATHETIC. Why is he allowed to just come here and do SUCH shoddy work. Type "typhoid Mary" and "Rush Limbaugh" into Google, and then post the results up your arse, Roy. Scaife pays for the purchase of Ann Coulter's books, or else they wouldn't sell, because no one buys your lies. Why don't you put her up your arse as well.

Is an arse anything like a hearse or is that a horse of another color?

An ar*e is "the fleshy part of the human body that you sit on", up which one traditionally shoves contentious or contemptible ideas, and out of which one pulls unsubstantiated claims. It is also slightly offensive, hense the assterisk.
