Bush as Jumping Jack Flash

Who knew Bush had such a sense of humor? From U.S. News & World Report:

Animal House in the West Wing

He [Bush] loves to cuss, gets a jolly when a mountain biker wipes out trying to keep up with him, and now we're learning that the first frat boy loves flatulence jokes. A top insider let that slip when explaining why President Bush is paranoid around women, always worried about his behavior. But he's still a funny, earthy guy who, for example, can't get enough of fart jokes. He's also known to cut a few for laughs, especially when greeting new young aides, but forget about getting people to gas about that.

How utterly juvenile. [Hat tip to TBogg.]

It's great to finally see Bush performing at the very peak of his abilities. An inspiration to mediocrity. Worthy of the respect and accolades of bike-riding farters everywhere, it is comforting to know that Bush's professional flaws are exceeded only by his personal ones.

Bush is paranoid around women Paranoid? Around women? Wow - the guy just radiates confidence. How inspiring. Funny, I thought he was older than 14 by now, no?

Wow, you are making him seem human, instead of the great satan. Odd.

you are making him seem human, instead of the great satan. Speaking of satan, Somehow I have a hard time evisioning Cheney as paranoid around women. But I don't think I'd want much to do with women who aren't nervous around him.

Of course he's nervous around women, his mother must be the only person he's afraid of.

you are making him seem human, instead of the great satan. Well said, Muddy. Maybe we could even take it a step further and say that we are making him seem like a Lutheran. Of the devil, Luther is said to have written: Jag ihn oft mit eim Furz hinweg. (I often drive him away with flatulence.) Could this be W's ultimate weapon in the war on terror?

C'mon Mr. President, light one up for us. He's all pent up inside. Maybe a strong cathartic every hour until he's cleaned out will loosen him up a bit. Just the guy I want with his finger up his a..., I mean up his nos..., I mean on the button.

Funny how all of the holier-than-thou Lefties forget about James Madison's wet willies, or about the time Lincoln "teabagged" the passed out Clara Barton on a dare. Obviously a little left-over bitterness here from liberal geeks whose pledges were never accepted.

kdog: GDub would be a barrell of laughs to blow some doobies with I'm not so sure about that kdog! ;-) Bush without his brain (Rove):
After all, the basis of Bush's phenomenal political career has been people's underestimating him. As his political advisor Karl Rove said in 2002: "I can't explain why they underestimate him, but they do. Whatever the reason, I hope they keep doing it."

In 1974, George spent Superbowl Sunday at a party hosted by Hunter S. Thompson. When asked decades later if he remembered whether Bush had used any drugs at his party, Thompson replied:

"I can't be expected to remember what every drug-addled yuppie hanger-oner who wanted to get close to me during a football game twenty-five years ago digested. There were so many dope fiends milling about, I don't remember what some Yalie named Bush, whose father was a factotum in the Nixon Administration, was doing. But he strikes me as the sort of person I would have thrown out of the room. A rich, beer-drunk yahoo with a big allowance who passes out in your bathtub. ... I don't want to become the Deep Drug Throat. ... I won't do it."

edger...I was taking the word of former MLB pitcher and total character Bill "Spaceman" Lee...
"Back in '73, we rolled a couple of doobies and smoked them together," Lee told the paper. "And I can tell you, he definitely inhaled." It's that kind of rebel spirit Lee, who once claimed he liked to sprinkle pot on his breakfast cereal, believes we need in the White House. "The way things are now," he told the paper, "people just want to party. George W. is the kind of guy you can party with."
Though I think it leaves little doubt that Lee over-indulged if he thinks Bush is what we need in the WH.

Maybe before his Christian rebirth or whatever you call it, he would have made a decent president. I'm willing to guarantee if he was still getting high we couldn't be in any worse shape.

Lee over-indulged if he thinks Bush is what we need in the WH. And if the dam breaks open many years too soon And if there is no room upon the hill And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too I'll see you on the dark side of the moon --Brain Damage
