Debate Held on Patriot Act
There was a debate on the Patriot Act at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Instapundit moderated.
[Professor Reynolds] said it's the citizens -not the courts - who bear the greatest responsibility for protecting civil liberties. We all need to be vigilant and ensure that the Bush Administration-- Attorney General John Ashcroft in particular--doesn't use our increased attention in the war as an opportunity to slip some more of its privacy-intrusive bills past us.
