Michael Jackson Trial Update

Jackson Trial Update
Wednesday March 16

Via the AP:

"MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS: The lead investigator in the Michael Jackson child molestation case testified that the accuser "choked up" when first interviewed about the alleged crimes and that the boy said there were five to seven incidents but could only describe two of them in detail."

"Prosecutors also showed the jury numerous adult magazines and some videos and books seized at Neverland but law enforcement witnesses offered no evidence that the accuser saw the items, some dated months after the family left Neverland. The witnesses said the items were legal and commercially available."

Law enforcement agents will continue their testimony tomorrow about items seized from Neverland during the execution of search warrants.

Am I the only one who finds every single comment by Fred Dawes to be entirely incomrehensible? What about this case suggests to you that "child sex is normal place?" Please.

Prosecutors also showed the jury numerous adult magazines and some videos and books seized at Neverland but law enforcement witnesses offered no evidence that the accuser saw the items, some dated months after the family left Neverland. The witnesses said the items were legal and commercially available. If the "adult magazines," etc., were "legal and commercially available," then by definition they're not child porn. So, if no one is even claiming the accuser saw them, what was the point of showing them? What were they supposed to prove? That MJ likes porn? Is that supposed to be surprising? No, clearly the only reason for showing them is to prejudice the jury. Why the hell did the judge allow this "evidence?" I think MJ is probably guilty, but he still deserves a fair trial. But apparently even that is too much to ask these days.

you have to be deep into "conspiracy theories" to really garner an appreciation for FD, i get'em. quite a bit of truth is present in some of the comments, he/she (being all pc uknow), just adds a bit to much at times, i.e., this child-rape thing!

mathwiz... So, if no one is even claiming the accuser saw them, what was the point of showing them? He did supposedly show these mags to kids... thats' the issue mathwiz. The jury needs to see what the kids saw.

    from this:

    you get:
He did supposedly show these mags to kids...
    trolling huh!

Would showing that MJ is into porn make the defense have to give up the 'he never grew up' idea? Kids might play 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours' but generally I reckon they don't have a porn stash. Sneaky peeks at mags aren't quite the same thing. It seems that a guy who is into 'healthy' porn (legal porn is legally healthy I suppose for this case) is an adult. And an adult who can claim such knowledge and healthy sexual preferences should know the difference between playing with kids in such weird ways.

apparently Mj slept in the same bedroom with the accuse...so why didnt any of the staff notice this? oh well...i still think he's guilty

MJ doesn't deny he slept in the same rooms etc. He openly admits it. The staff probably weren't allowed at parts of neverland at certain times. I am pretty sure even Jacko had restricted areas from staff. Fred Dawes...nothing suprises me anymore... Child molesters can be and are judges politicians teachers and policeman. Only a raid a year and a half ago proved that one!

Look,...He has porn mags with YOUNG KIDS in them. He has been accused of this before. The guy has made every effort through out his life to make SURE we think he is Weird. Why is anyone suprised at these allegations? He is a LIAR. He says he has only had two procedures done on his face. Please! And these morons who think he didnt do it solely because they like his music make me sick. One guy actually is spending $160 a day in a hotel for over 2 months to be in the same city as the court. What a loser. Does this guy really think Michael Jackson cares that hes there? And so what if he does? Get a life. If this wasnt Michael Jackson and it was someone else but all the other aspects were the same,...they would ALL think he did it.

Through watching Michael Jackson in interviews and by appearance alone i think he is a deeply disturbed man. I also truly believe he thinks he still is a child, the man was never given the chance to grow up.With that, even if all allegations are true, should they really be sentencing him as a sane man. Does anyone really think jacko is not whacko

Ahhhhhhh but there is a difference between being sane clinically and legally. If Jacko committed the crimes (which I'm not convinced of thus far) he still had the ability to know it was wrong. If he had the ability to do this than he will be sentenced and found guilty like any other man committing the same crime. As stated I don't quite believe it's true. Now we all might say that he has been alleged to have done this before, however I don't think I would ever accept payment in return for my silence. If someone really molested my child no money in the world will compensate for putting the guilty man behind bars. In the case we have presently the Mum tried to get money off another celebrity. the kids have both been caught lieing in court and apparently one of the times the child was "molested", Michael's own child was in the room. To me it just doesn't make sense.
