Thanks to CNN's Inside Politics for mentioning TalkLeft during its blog segment today. I missed it but Crooks and Liars and reader Kitt sent me e-mails letting me know.

ABBI TATTON, CNN PRODUCER: Now, there's some discussion on the blogs, playing politics with this morning's ruling. Discussion of the federal Judge James Whittemore, who denied the request of the parents this morning to reinsert the feeding tube. Whittemore, as we heard earlier in this show, is a Clinton appointee and that is coming up a lot on the blogs.

Over at the right here, jacklewis.net, "Clinton nominated judge rules for death." Over to the other side, TalkLeft.com. This is a blog related to crime-related political and injustice news. Over at TalkLeft, they anticipated that this would be a theme and started looking into this judge's background, his published opinions, and says that his decisions do not show political partisanship or even liberal tendencies. So, trying to stave off some of the criticism from the right there.

    Great, but remember the state or courts have no rights in this matter, she is alive the system cannot kill her, unless it is a setup to make a new law of murder by doctor.

    Whats truly comical about the whole thing is those idiots showing up at the hospice with food and water to give to her. She hasn't been able to swallow for 15 years, what are they going to do , shove it down her throat.

    Jack Lewis? That guy's in my "Drunk: make fun of" bookmarks. It'd make sense if he were in Art Bell Coast to Coast, but CNN? The world has gone insane.

    A 3 judge panel of the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals declined to order the reinsertion of the tube. Ed Carnes (Appointed by Bush the elder) and Frank Hull (Appointed by Clinton) took the majority opinion. Charles Wilson (appointed by Clinton) took the minority opinion.

    Congrats, but that story is a Bob Somerby poster case. On the one hand (some radical rightie is inflamatory). On the other hand, a moderate left site is "trying" to debunk them. Does trying imply that you haven't actually succeeded? That's pretty weak reporting.

    i am so upsett over this matter please bear with me 1 murder 2 money 3 adultry boy i guess it just gets easier to murder your wife now a days and cry this is what she wanted if he really loved his wife he would have seen her to the end. that devil could have just gone on with his new life and left her to her parents no he still wants control maybe he murder his wife maybe she did not collaspe maybe he pushed her to death and did not want her better because she would have told of the true reason she was in a comma state no now he insist on cremating her why his new wife should maybe think twice but what goes around michael comes around Terri is in heaven he's going to hell sad canada loved you terri we know the truth of how michael murdered you he got away laci's husdband didn't so i guess the new law in the states is if you want to get rid of your wife didn't to commit adultry put her in a hospice.tears tears tears tears woman men children of the world stand up and unite on murder murder murder MURDER how much is going to make on the movies greedy bas...... can't swear i love god to much Terri in canada it's raining hard and i know that's the angels crying were closer to the heavens up here those are tears of welcome my child
