Wendy's Chili Finger Claimant Arrested

It's official. Police say the claim that a woman found a fingertip in a bowl of chili at Wendy's is a hoax. She was arrested today on grand larceny charges that allege she caused Wendy's to lose $2.5 million.

But whose finger is it?

I knew there was something wrong here but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

Okay, this one was a hoax. But I'll play it safe and remain vegetarian.

Pun all you want, but I'm not at all sure about this. Woman says she finds a finger in her chili. She's sued companies in the past, but when the news heats up, she says she won't sue Wendy's. So, now, since they can't find where the finger came from, and since they apparently have two people who allegedly heard that the woman put the finger in the chili herself, she's been arrested for -- grand larceny? If she didn't sue Wendy's and didn't obtain any money from anyone under fradulent pretenses, where's the larceny? Yeah, Wendy's lost money - but Wendy's might lose money from a boycott based on fictitious ideas, too, and that's not "larceny," is it? Shouldn't this be very scary? You say something fictitious about a company, the company loses money, and you're charged with criminal theft? Not defamation, not "conspiracy" to sue under false pretenses, not filing a false police report - but theft? This seems very wrong.

Witnesses can be bought. Claimants can be discredited. Whether it's a laughable fast food corp or a Global oil monolith, there's too much opportunity and bought access for anyone to know anything for sure. I'm sure that those horrid "layoffs" were for high quality jobs that paid a living wage and provided basic healthcare benefits to those serving up french fries.

If employees' hours were cut back, they suffered a loss from this woman's alleged fraud. The less you earn, the more you need your paycheck.

You got to love the system, its a real joke. Can't the cops do a DNA Test? to find out if it's one of her dead family members? and if this body part came from someone else where did it come from? who did it come from? it maybe a Hoax but what if wendy is doing some cover-up's? its not nice to eat people or parts of people. what was really in that chili? and who was in it? I can only hope she isn't beaten to death in a Federal Supermax like some have been.

“criminal theft? Not defamation, not "conspiracy" to sue under false pretenses, not filing a false police report” If Wendy’s can show she intended to [fraudulently] take their money, why not? I was under the impression that larceny actually needed money to benefit the accused, but of course I am not a layer, so … “I'm sure that those horrid "layoffs" were for high quality jobs that paid a living wage and provided basic healthcare benefits to those serving up french fries.” Hear, hear; let them eat cake.

Remember the "half a rat" with a stub of tail that sent a woman to her psychiatrist? It was crisply cooked in a box of chicken? As Americans we have standards...no cannibalism, and no incorrectly labeled crisped rats..."labeled" chicken. FDA standards and GRAS lists do not include actual rats, just rat droppings allowed. I was appalled to learn more than I wanted to know about rats racing around on filled pop cans in warehouses, etc etc. I love Wendy's Chile...and I'll get over this, and eat more of it...but I haven't since the story ran. Weak me.

Oh..."OUR GOV'T" is based on rule of law...whose laws get bent and "adjusted" until they fit "ANY CRIME". Thanks to the inventive, creative minds at the Supreme Court, other lowly judges are taking up the the case of 'transitional' laws...and building bridges to nonsensical charges. Have you noticed when "money" is involved...vs human rights laws get applied without making much cents...sorry for that misspelling...and I do think that woman should not have put a finger in her chili...IF SHE DID. NOW SHE'S BACKING OFF...scared by the system, no doubt. DNA, yes. Research labs at major universities using cadavers should also be checked...as should finger missing people being cremated...oops can't check, the body isn't here.

Third world? Is she called that because she has a hispanic name? Learn a new racist slurr everyday I guess. I never ate Wendy's chili anyway. They use the scrapings from the burger frier.

I'm sure there is a shortage of other bad paying, poor quality service jobs for them. We should collectively strive to ensure that everyone not entitled from birth is guaranteed a position down at the local Wendy's by eating fast food as much and often as possible. Now THAT is compassion.
