So far as I know, Bork wasn't 'rejected', he was fillibustered and never received a vote. Please report truthfully.

Grad Student, He was indeed voted down. You're a grad student?

what exactly are you a 'grad student' of? I spent 20 seconds on Google and found "When Lewis Powell retired in July 1987, Reagan nominated Robert Bork. Bork was a member of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia at the time. Bork lost confirmation by a Senate vote of 58 to 42" I work with post grads and post docs all the time, but I've never seen one who couldn't google or provide a defense. (That's the only way they become grad students and professionals.) Perhaps you attend a substandard institution, or maybe just a diploma mill with aims other than education.

I'm old enough to remember Bork as the guy who was Nixon's favorite pit bull terrier.
Finally, the President turned to Solicitor General Robert H. Bork, who by law becomes acting Attorney General when the Attorney General and deputy attorney general are absent, and he carried out the President's order to fire Cox. The letter from the President to Bork also said Ruckelshaus resigned.
