She's been there a couple of weeks. Seems an attempt by MSGOP to become even more like Fox. During the DC sniper story, Cosby was the source of a lot of misinformation especially leading to the notion that they were associated with terrorism. She seems to be a believer in getting it first is better than getting it right. Allegedly should preface any statement she makes

She's interviewed Yasser Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Pakistan's Gen. Pervez Musharraf and former Yugoslav leader Slobodan Milosevic live from the Hague. She was the only journalist out of thousands to get a letter from Timothy McVeigh before his execution. In the letter, he revealed several things previously undisclosed. She was the first to report that President Clinton would be subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury in the Monica Lewinsky case. (Hartford Courant, Jan. 12, 2003)

quite a comedown given MSNBC's ratings. I wouldn't use the DC sniper story for criticism, though, given that the happy couple were a pair of islamist nutjobs. Also, as I recall, the consensus in the media at the time is that we were looking for white males a la McVeigh-how was that for accuracy?

not so sure about those stats. there have been plenty of black serial killers-it's just that their chosen victims are usually other black people, not suburbanites. Rita Crosby was closer to correct than experts. So much for racial profiling.

jumped ship? more like walked the plank when Fox wouldn't renew. But on to MSGOP -whose programming highlights this year have included the Dietle and Daniels Show As for her ability to id terrorists it's because they talk to her through her underwire July 17, 2004Terrorists Talking to Rita Cosby At 5:57 PM ET, Rita Cosby came on Fox News Live with a special News Alert. Cosby breathlessly told viewers that the "terrorism inner circle is telling me" that they have picked up chatter " signaling that Usama Bin Laden's health is on the line." She went on to explain that there was some sort of operation in Pakistan and his health has worsened in the last few weeks. The chatter, she explained, is mostly about his successor and,of course, UBL really doesn't matter to the future plans of Al Queda. The chatter points to Bin Laden's son Saad, who is in Iran. This was followed by a quick disclaimer that the chatter could be wrong. 7/17/04 comment: What is the "terrorism inner circle" and why would they choose to talk to Rita Cosby? A compelling mystery that will never be solved.
