House Dems to Call for Karl Rove Inquiry Tomorrow

This just in from Murray Waas - House Democrats to Introduce Resolution of Inquiry on Rove tomorrow morning....

House Democrats tomorrow morning will introduce a formal resolution of inquiry demanding that the Bush administration turn over information and documents relating to Karl Rove and the Valerie Plame affair, according to congressional sources.

Among the members who will be calling for the inquiry are such Democrat heavyweights as Rep. Henry Waxman, the ranking minority member of the House Government Reform Committee; Rep. Tom Lantos, of California; and Rep. Chris Van Hollen, of Maryland. The resolution effort was spareheaded by Rep. Rush Holt, of New Jersey, who is a senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.

The party line of the mighty right wing wind machine seems to be that no questions should be asked before fair and balanced, honest and competent Patrick Fitzgerald finishes his investigation. Will they still think he's such a mensch when he indicts them all? I'm guessing not.

PLEASE, Dems -- as TChris (or was it LittleRock) commented yesterday, don't call Rove as a witness before Congress. His lawyer will manipulate it into a Fifth Amendment immunity from prosecution later, a la Oliver North.

Unfortunately I dont see any of the GOP looking to go after him and find the truth anytime soon. We can call for hearings, but in the end nothing happens unless we take over or his own party turns on him.
