AZ Paper Drops the She-Pundit

The Arizona Star today announced:

...we've decided that syndicated columnist Ann Coulter has worn out her welcome. Many readers find her shrill, bombastic and mean-spirited. And those are the words used by readers who identified themselves as conservatives.

Taking her place on Saturdays will be Tony Snow, host of "The Tony Snow Show," syndicated nationally on Fox News Radio, and "Weekend Live with Tony Snow" on Fox News Channel. He has worked at a number of daily newspapers and is a former speechwriter for former President George H.W. Bush.

I still take exception to the use of "She-Pundit" to describe her. I know, there are reasons for it. But c'mon, surely there are plenty of descriptives for this....this person...that don't disparage half the population by association with her!

Lora, it's actually the "she pundit with long blonde hair." That's how I have referred to her for years. It's because I don't feel like giving her any more google hits, so I don't use her name (most of the time.)

Coulter is as much of a she-pundit as the Holy Roman Empire was holy, Roman or Empire (i.e., not! on all counts).

Perhaps "The pundit with long blonde hair" would do just as well...just a thought.

DA - I don't remember you saying that about Ward Churchill. And don't go to the tenure BS. He is employed by the citizens of CO, a higher percentage, I'll wager, want him gone than the readers of subject newspaper want Coulter gone. Et al - Anyone know how many other papers carry her?

Churchill may be a phony Indian, but the rightwing bench are phony human beings. And as for 'plagiarism,' that's really not so big a deal next to GENOCIDE FOR PROFIT.

I would like to apologize for my behavior on this blog over the past several weeks. I would like to tell everyone that I am supporting Judge Roberts for the Supreme Court. Also, in the future, I will be known as "The DORK Avenger."

If they wanted to drop her, fine. But they shouldn't be using self-identification by "readers" as an excuse. It shows no backbone at all. And it is impossible to prove.

'Tony' Snow would sell his grandmother for a chance to hold W's hand. Coulter will eventually 'pick up' spare change on the club circuit. No one is going to miss these failed human beings who readily betray their nation and its people, for a chance to 'be someone' and drive around in a two-lane wide Nazi Icebox listening to Clint Black, congratulating themselves on how smart they are. What does it profit a pundit to gain the world and lose their soul? Money like that doesn't grow on Living Trees. Someone famous said such amoral husks get "cast into the Fire." But what did He know.
