Stephanopoulos: Source Says Bush, Cheney Directly Involved

Think Progress reports:

Near the end of a round table discussion on ABC's This Week, George Stephanopoulos dropped this bomb:

"Definitely a political problem but I wonder, George Will, do you think it's a manageable one for the White House especially if we don't know whether Fitzgerald is going to write a report or have indictments but if he is able to show as a source close to this told me this week, that President Bush and Vice President Cheney were actually involved in some of these discussions."

How prescient of Smirk and Scowl to hire their own personal attorneys, I guess that were being overly cautious. Interesting that they are "overly cautious" when their own as*es are on the line but when it comes to bringing America to a war where hundred of thousands of people have died or been critically injured, their level of caution drops off big time. I guess that Stalin's famous quote is pertinent here. "The loss of one life is a tragedy. The loss of a million lives is a statistic."
Suffice it to say that whatever the meaning of Bush's decision to talk with private counsel about the Valerie Plame leak, the matter has taken a more ominous turn with Bush's action. It has only become more portentous because now Dick Cheney has also hired a lawyer for himself, suggesting both men may have known more than they let on.

I wonder if George is using the same source that Rather used? Perhaps we will have a "GeorgeGate."

ppj-The pesident is protected from doing jail time. from 04/12/00:
The Washington Post reported yesterday that Independent Counsel Robert Ray is considering asking for a criminal indictment next January against President Clinton on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, making false statements, and conspiracy related to the President's testimony related to his relationship with Monica Lewinsky.
After the words "related to" substitute: fixing evidence in order to convince Congress to go to war with Iraq. It seems that if Bush is convicted of conspiracy, he can pardon himself. So he is in the clear although after he pardons himself his ratings with the American people are sure to go down to somewhere near 0.
Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution, which states in part, "and he [the president] shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment." In other words, under this Article, a sitting president can grant him or herself a pardon. The Founding Fathers intended this in order to prevent the Executive Branch (the president) from coming under the direct control and influence of the Judiciary Branch (the courts).

P: Yeah! Or the same source that said Iraq had WMDs! Or the same source that said Saddam and Osama were collaborators! Or the same source who supplied the Niger document! Scar: Nice song. It even rhymes!

DA - If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas... If we had some ham, we'd have some ham and eggs if we had some eggs. Come, a smile won't crack your face.

150,000 people murdered later, and Jim suddenly wants people to get the giggles. Giggles Bush, on the other hand, and his backroom cohorts Dick Pruneface and Karl Flattop, they slurp their food, and wipe the cocaine from their faces with their forearms. They're having a party, and Jim wants to be invited. It's a Deadman's Party, leave your honor at the door.

disorganized schizophrenia, [DSM-IV] a type that is characterized by frequent incoherence, marked loosening of associations, or grossly disorganized behavior and flat or grossly inappropriate affect and that does not meet the criteria for the catatonic type; associated features include extreme social withdrawal, grimacing, mannerisms, mirror gazing, inappropriate giggling, and other unusual behavior. I think PPJ is off his thorazine again, PILA, and that would explain a lot of things. OTOT: schizotypal personality (disorder)
.......marked deficits in social and interpersonal competence and eccentricities in ideation,........ideas of reference are common, as are odd beliefs or magical thinking.....and occasional paranoid ideation. It differs from schizophrenia, to which it is related, in having only transient psychotic episodes, if any.
and heaven alone knows how often we've seen this sort of thing:
narcissistic personality (disorder), [DSM-IV], a personality disorder characterized by grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), a lack of social empathy combined with a hypersensitivity to the judgment of others, interpersonal exploitiveness, enviousness, arrogance, a sense of entitlement, and a need for constant signs of admiration.

Dark, I don't think it's schizophrenia -- I think it's LYING for class (and race) profit. A more serious disease.
