Say Hello: Progressive Law Blogs

Say hello to the brand new Progressive Law Blogs aggregator site. In one place, you can find the latest posts by:

  • Armando
  • Balkinization
  • Discourse.net
  • Is That Legal?
  • Nathan Newman
  • Sentencing Law and Policy
  • Talk Left

We began this effort to keep track of what those in the progressive legal blogosphere, both professors and practitioners, are writing about issues of the day, for example, Supreme Court Nominations, consitutional issues, election law, labor law, criminal sentencing and even PlameGate. We will be growing, both in the number of included blogs and in the topics covered, and I hope you agree this is a worthwhile project.

Update: We're working on an RSS feed.

Excellent!!! I, for one, will appreciate it. While you're adding to your blogroll, though, you might want to edit your link to Ampersand's weblog (Alas, a Blog). You've got an errant little apostrophe in the link, so it doesn't work.

Progressive Law Blog: The US Senate voted 90% for an Amendment to an Iraq Appropriations Bill forbidding torture by our government here or abroad. President Bush has threatened to VETO this Legislation if the Amendment is not dropped by the Joint Committee of The House of Re[presentatiives and the Senate who will send the final Bill to Bush for signature. It seems to me, that by threatening to VETO that Amendment it is fair to infer that Bush is in favor of continuing to torture or otherwise mistreat prisoners including rendering thgem to foreign countries for torture. This seems to me VERY SIGNIFICANT NEWS but has been all but IGNORED by he media. Anyonew know why??
