I'm with Atrios on this one. I like Jennifer Aniston. This afternoon while channel surfing I ended up watching Along Came Polly for the second time. She seems like a real person. Anyway, here's why I'm writing about her.

An interview in this week's Newsweek asks her to list the seven things she'd rather talk about than men. Number 6:

The state of the world. How about that indictment?! And why did it take so long to respond to the crisis in New Orleans? Everything is imploding. It all seems to lead back to our dear president.

    All Jennifer Aniston did was express an opinion that the vast majority of Americans agree with.

    The good news is that the world has been going to hell in a handbasket for the last 2000 years. Or so I'm told. I can personally vouch for 50 of it.

    At least in her movie role as the chain restaurant waitress in "Office Space" who resisted wearing the required amount of "flair", Aniston has been one of the few actresses involved in a recent Hollywood movie that is actually a sharp social commentary.

    Check out "The Good Girl" w/Aniston. Kudos to her for giving Bush a little flak.

    People on the tube and magazines have been humping for her lately... Must be a movie's coming out? Just another example of the incestuous state of our Hollywood based "News" Media.

    I fail to understand TL's fascination with the political opinions of Hollywood and/or music "stars." Jennifer Aniston is a reasonably nice kid, given the pressures of her notoriety, but that's about as far as it goes.
