Senators Call for Cheney Investigation over Leaks

Two Senators today called for an investigation of Dick Cheney and whether he ordered Libby or others to leak classified information pertaining to the War in Iraq to reporters in an effort to bolster the Administration's claims about weapons of mass destruction.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., called the leak of intelligence information "inappropriate" if it is true that unnamed "superiors" instructed Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, to divulge the material on Iraq.

Sen. George Allen, R-Va., said a full investigation is necessary. "I don't think anybody should be releasing classified information, period, whether in the Congress, executive branch or some underling in some bureaucracy," said Allen, who appeared with Reed on "Fox News Sunday."

TL-Great graphic. They seem to have gone to another level of greatness in the last several days.
Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald should investigate Vice President Dick Cheney and others in the CIA leak probe if they authorized an aide to give secret information to reporters, Democratic and Republican senators said Sunday.
I assumed that Cheney is already a subject and perhaps even a target in Fitzpatrick's investigation. My understanding is that unless Cheney is indicetd or called to the GJ to testify his status in the investigation does not have to be made public.

I hate having to wait until business hours on Monday morning for the trolls to find out what the talking points are supposed to be. Listen up trolls: the advantage of thinking for yourself is that you already know what you want to say. Try it some time.

the advantage of thinking for yourself is that you already know what you want to say. That's good advice for them, Repack. And a related, though much underutilized advantage, is that "if you always tell the truth, you never have to remember what you said". Try it sometime, trolls. It won't hurt nearly as much as you'd think. If you can, think that is...

    Cheney... the target? Ha ha.

Fritzmas is over and unlikely to produce anything the next time the lefties try it. I'm tired of this story but look forward to the dissapointment when it fails, again, to yeild anything. Stick to the bird shot when you bash Cheney.

I don't think the American taxpayer should have to pay for the investigation of any political scandal. If there is a conviction, the losing party should have to cover court costs, no conviction, the other party pays for the investigation. Or will nothing ever get invesigtated?
