Rubber Stamps to Republican Congress Delivered

Netroots in action. Readers of Firedoglake and other liberal blogs, including My DD bought 1,000 rubber stamps to demonstrate the rubber-stamping by our Republican dominated Congress.

They were delivered last week to Sen. Arlen Specter. Crooks and Liars has video of the delivery.

Aren't special interest groups prohibited from giving gifts like this?

Roy, You're joking, right? If not, this is obviously a satirical gesture, which is protected as genuinely free speech. And I doubt it could be construed as influence peddling with gifts.

I don't think Specter got the joke; he inserted a billion-dollar tax cut for the rubber stamp industry into a defense appropriation bill.

As was held in the Fox v Franken suit when Fox was LAUGHED OUT OF COURT. Satire is protected speech. Even if the one being satirized is too dumb to get it.
