    and in the dark right now (OVP) they are crafting their final piece of legislation to take the remainder of our rights away so they can stay in power. anyone doubt it?

    as many of us have long suspected, bushco's justification for its criminal seizure of power is just exactly what it appeared to be at the very first - a load of bollocks... what i find especially nauseating is that congress and the american people have essentially stood silently by for going on six years while this gang of thugs dismembered the u.s. constitution and compromised or outright did away with half or more of the things that have made america a beacon of light to the world... And, yes, I DO take it personally

    Narius, Come on, man, be serious. If we took care of the Taliban, and kept Afghanistan as a priority, my little brother wouldn't be marching around the godforsaken mountains of southern Afghanistan fighting a battle we ABANDONED for Buscho's wet dreams about Iraq. Gimme a f*cking break.

    Hmm .. no one stood silently. The American people were CHEERING the afgan war when we were kicking Taliban's butt. What half the things? Most people's lives have not changed much in this sex years. And if you believe we are a beacon of light six years ago, you are more naive than I thought. We certainly were not a beacon of light in the Middle East in any stretch of imagination. Otherwise, we would not have been attacked. We were feared then and we are feared (probably more) now.
    Your post is way off topic. Do you even know what the Hamden decision is and how it may have an effect on some of Bush's national security policies? Do you understand Tchris's post or are you once again going to completely miss the point of yet another TalkLeft post? This goes way beyond the military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
