Auction for "Right to Life.com"

The online auction for the domain "Right to Life.com" ends tomorrow. I would love to see an anti-death penalty group buy it. "Choose Life, End the Death Penalty."

The price right now is at $15,000. For an organization with 1,000 members, that would be a donation of $15.00 per member. Even at $25,000, an anti-death penalty group would recoup its investment through contributions of $25.00 per member.

Another possibility is for a human rights organization to buy it. If you know of any, spread the word.

I'd bet Pat Robertson will lock it up...with the millions he got from bilking old ladies out of their social security.

Sarah, as far as I'm aware, domain names are free to register, so what has happened here is that someone has registered 'Righttolife.com' and is now auctioning it. Therefore the money will go to the person who owns it now, who registered it for free. Nice work if you can get it.

I just checked Geektools and Google. The domain is now owned by David Zenker, CPA, of Texas. He appears to be a strong supporter of multi-level-marketing, school vouchers, conservative Christianity and native Texans. The last term does not seem to refer specifically to those known (up here in Soviet Canuckistan) as "First Nations." I don't think that he intends to use it to oppose the death penalty. (Just a hunch.)
