Coming Up For Air

I'm moved into my new place, Comcast and Qwest just left so I'm finally back online with tv again. I haven't read a paper or watched a news report since Sunday, so I'm quite a bit behind the curve. There are many comments to go through as well as two work days of voice-mail and hundreds of e-mails. I must have 100 boxes to unpack yet and my hands are already raw. It was no different moving down the street than it's been in the past to move across the city. It wasn't even cheaper.

I love my new place though, and I'm thrilled I won't have to go through this again for quite some time.

Congratulations! Now let the settling-in process begin! "So should that lamp go here or over there?" "..."

Do they let you cook out on your deck or winch car engines in your front yard? Probably not.

For so many years it was the stereo system that was the last taken down and the first put up. Can't move without music. In my sophomore year at the University of WI they gave us the supplies to let us pain our dorm rooms. THAT was a mistake!

You have no need to watch the news. People are still getting killed in Iraq. Bob Ney is still serving in the House, even though he's copped a plea. Hugo Chavez called George Bush "The Devil" but you didn't need Chavez for validation. Perhaps the most important thing is they found the missing baby in Missouri. Alive, I might add. Nancy Grace will find a way to screw that up, but not for a few days. All in all, a slow couple of days. Nothing much has changed, really.

LWW, yes I can cook out on my deck, but not until I get a barbecue.

Congrats on the move. You'll definitely have to post a few pics of the new diggs.

Excellent! Get a grill ASAP... I always liked Fall for grilling more than summer.
