Site RSS Feed

Update: The RSS feed is fixed. It displays the entire post, formatted and with pictures if you access it here or just the basic xml is here

We had problems with the RSS feed yesterday and this morning. It's fixed now, but set to display the first 40 words of entries. Does anyone remember what it used to show? Was it the whole article or just a paragraph or so? Which would you prefer?

I saw some comments on this yesterday and had no clue what they were talking about.

What's an RSS feed and what is it used for?

It used to be only the first 100 words or so of each post. I generally prefer full entries however.

I run a site that display's your RSS feeds (bluebevy.com). I perfer full entries as well, but 100 words is not bad either.

I use an RSS reader to read TalkLeft content so I would much appreciate the full article being available.

Love the site and it's content.

Thanks, everyone. I have it now set to 100 words.  But, there's a problem with it not showing the html and formatting which is being worked on this afternoon and should be fixed tonight.

When it's fixed, it will show everything in the first section of the post (before the extended entry or "read more" section) rather than any set number of words.

So if the whole post is shown on the home page, you will see that in the feed.  If there is an "read more" section, you won't see that. Since there are usually more than 100 words in the top section, it shouldn't be an issue for you.
