Zogby Poll: Dems 11 Points Ahead in House Races

A new Zogby-Reuters poll finds that 44% of voters are more likely to support Democratic candidates in House races in November. Only 33% were likely to support Republican candidates.

On the issues:

Asked to rank which party they thought was better suited to handle 13 pressing issues facing the country, likely voters favored Democrats on nine of them, the Reuters/Zogby poll shows.

As to where we are headed:

Asked if the nation is headed in the right direction or was off on the wrong track, 36% said the nation is on track, while 57% said things were not going well. Just 8% of Democrats said the nation is heading on the right course, compared with 66% of Republicans and 32% of independents who said they felt that way.

Surprisingly, only 49% felt Donald Rumsfeld should be fired.

But, on Iraq,

....57% said the war has not been worth the loss of U.S. lives, while 7% said they were unsure. Asked whether the war in Iraq has been worth the loss of American lives, 36% said yes, up from 34% two weeks ago.

23% STILL don't know who they're voting for?  I call shenaningans on this poll.  There's simply no way, 2 weeks from elections, that a quarter of the voters are undecided.

Just a few weeks ago it was something like 57% Dems, 39% Rs.  How the Dems lost 14% by doing nothing wrong tells me something's amiss with Zogby...

Hey, is that the same Zogby who declared a win for John Kerry a couple years ago?

I'm amazed the guy is still in business after that one.
