The Early Whine at Red State

This is darn funny:

I've got a bad feeling this afternoon about the elections. Perhaps things will go well. But things like this give me no comfort:

Cry me a river. When this happened to Democrats in 2004, it was the source of laughter from Republicans. I agree that it is a disgrace. But it was a disgrace long ago.

    art in this comment.

The Red State folks are all bumming about PA-4;  apparently they think the electronic machines are switching Republican votes to Democratic.

And they're whining about how we won't know how this turned out until Thanksgiving at the earliest.

    Right.

I was just trolling around the comments thread (more looking for turnout stories than anything else) and, well, you know.

    I'll be dropping out presently.

am i remembering right that the house of reps has the right [and of course the duty :)]

to refuse to seat a member if there is some "irregularity" in a particular congressional district's voting procedures?

could this happen with a NEW congress?

    seems unlikely, but ...

anybody got a handle on this.

it was done in the mid-80s to someone from Indiana - the Repub was the recipient of the dirty end of the stick.  I think the House had hearings and investigations and may have even done a recount.  But, it's been 20 years since then and all I remember is what I just wrote.
