10 U.S. Soldiers Killed Today in Iraq

The bad news from Iraq keeps coming:

Ten American service members were killed from improvised explosive devices in Iraq on Wednesday. The news came hours after a mortar attack killed at least eight people and wounded dozens in the Sadr City Shiite district of the capital, police said.

In the 10 American deaths, five troops were killed in the north, and five were killed in Anbar province, a U.S. military official told NBC’s Jim Miklaszewski. No further details were immediately available.

What is even sadder is that according to the Iraq Study Group they were all sacrificed for policies that have failed.

And How Much More Should We Give? (5.00 / 1) (#11)

    Desertswine,
Your list made me ponder the question posed by Creedence Clearwater Revival in the song "Fortunate Son"

And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more!

More troops, more time, more advisors, more casualties, more billions.  Its always More! more! more!

Wonder what the mission is, and when we know when it has been accomplished?

The mission is to allow Bush to get out of Iraq with his tail between his legs without losing face.

It's a small price to pay for the people who don't have to pay it.

And make a tidy little bundle off of it to boot.

This thing will drag on as long as we let it.

Democrats Remind Bush he's no Longer in Control after Iraq Panel Meets
(AXcess News) Washington - Democrats called for a change in U.S. policy in Iraq following a meeting held at the White House between members of the Bush administration and the Iraq Study Group, wasting no time in reminding Bush he no longer had a majority of lawmakers backing him up.

Reminding Bush of the GOP's loss of control of Congress through the midterm elections, Speaker of the House-designate, Sen. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, "The bipartisan Iraq Study Group has concluded that the President's Iraq policy has failed and must be changed. As the November elections clearly demonstrated."

    Ahem...

Rep. Silvestre Reyes, the soon-to-be chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said he wants to see an increase of 20,000 to 30,000 U.S. troops

30 more Americans and an untold number of Iraqis have died in the last six days.

F**k who told what and when! Stop the go%%amn deaths!

sorry, apologies to all, but, raise you hands, how many folks here know someone who died in 9/11? My hand is up.

Now raise your hands again, how many folks here know someone who died in Iraq? My hand is up 3 fold.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

Why have more Americans died there than in 9/11?
