Saddams' Half Brother and Ex-Court Official Hanged

Iraq has carried through with its plans to hang Saddam Hussein's half-brother as well as the former head of the Revolutionary Court. Both were hanged before dawn today.

I wonder how long it will take for the hanging video to hit the internet.

But he was his half brother. Many in iraq doubt he was involved in any crimes, as most of his posts were Outside Iraq , UN , and other countries . But the dawa party In gov right now has been targeting saddam since the 70s . Dawa started in Iran with iranian money , they attacked him so many times with hand grenades and bombs . they were the ones attacking him in Dujail during which 18 of iraqi police died , one witness  is still in US custody , another witness from Dujail who told the courts that many So called people dead were still alive had to flee after many threats on his life . his name was Khaled Ali Al marsoumi .

The most pathetic thing about all of this is Condoleeza Rice asking for more "dignity" in executions, and Tony Blair saying that he has made his government's position on the death penalty (against) "known to the Iraqi government".

The US and Britain exert considerable influence on the Iraqi government, or so we are led to believe. They should not merely try to distance themselves from these barbaric killings, they should stop them. Obviously these torture/executions have no deterrent effect; if anything, they are a call to arms, to continue the destructive cycle of revenge.

asking for more dignity in the WH, and in State. But  she does need her job I suppose, and creating conflict of interest wouldn't help her....
