There's a good WaPo article today by Amy Goldstein and Carole Leonig and Andrew Cohen over at Bench Conference dampens the enthusiasm of those who expect this to be a trial over the decision to go to war in Iraq.
Did Libby lie or not? Could he truly have forgotten the truth because he was so busy helping run the country? Those questions, and not the more flowery ones, will drive this case.
That's a shame, but it's the reality.
