Grumpy Robertson Predicts Unhappy New Year

Our living Tower of Babel, Pat Robertson, wants us to know that a terrorist attack on the U.S. will result in "mass killing" toward the end of the year. God told him, so you'd think he'd have it on good authority.

“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”

Something like that? Pat, could you go on another prayer retreat and get back to us with more detail?

Fortunately, Robertson's prognostication record hasn't been much better than Jeane Dixon's. In 2005, he predicted Bush would win victory after victory on issues like Social Security reform, and in 2006 he was confident that a tsunami-strength storm would engulf a U.S. coast. (Well, to be fair, it did rain heavily in New England.)

said that an invisible, divine spirit named fred spoke to him, we'd shake our heads and assume, rightly, that he was, at best, schitzophrenic, in need of professional help.

pat robertson does the same thing, only says it's god (an invisible, divine spirit) who spoke to him, and the nimrods on his show, cnn, and practically every other media outlet take him at least semi-seriously.

either pat robertson is schitzophrenic, and truly believes he hears voices in his head, and should be involuntarily committed, or he's a fraud. it has to be one or the other.

when God tells you the winners for the Pick-6 at Aqueduct, please advise.

I worry about God...he always seems to pick the biggest nit-wits to converse with.

Bush talks to Gawd regularly. He passed on some wonky intelligence to Gawd telling him to tell Pat to tell his flock of sheep that there will be a big terrorist attack and that Iran must be bombed. It's all a setup. Just ask Dobson or Wallis. They know...

a Christian, and guys like this annoy me. When anybody ever says that God told them something, I cringe b/c it's just a ploy to try to add emphasis. He thinks if 'God told him' then people are going to accept it as gospel like he's some sort of prophet. I would like to challenge Mr. Robertson by asking him what God's voice sounds like. Chances are his answer would be "You just cant explain it."

I wish they'd take this guy off the air and never pay any attention to him ever again. If you ever watch any of his show, he's always so overly dramatic. He's putting on a show - trying to make people think he's Mister Holier Than Thou who has one on ones with God. Even in the biblical context, God sent angels to speak to profits. What makes Pat Robertson special?

Sorry about the rant but I just dont like that guy.

The Lord sent representatives to talk to the Mother and Stepfather (who was from the House of David) of his only son and he talks to Pat Robertson himself?

Way to be humble, Mr. Robertson.

WOW WOW WOW...is he embarassed? I'm embarassed for him. I wonder if he looks back on saying stuff like that and just hangs his head and shakes it back and forth and thinks, "damn...what is wrong with me?"

I think he's too far 'out there' to be embarassed. More likely he's laughing at the suckers who lap up the sh*t he spews. All the way to the bank... ;-)
