Rudy, Bernie and Larry Ray, Part II

Last month I chronicled the adventures of FBI informant and Bernie Kerik pal Larry Ray. I ended the last post with,

A lingering question is, what did Rudy know about Ray and Bernie (not just Interstate and Bernie) and when did he know it?

The Washington Post addressed that question yesterday. Larry Ray, who is now in jail on a probation violation, contacted WaPo reporters and shared Berie's e-mails (pdfs), photos of himself and Gorbachev in Rudy's office when Rudy was Mayor, as well as other documents previously shared with the feds when he cooperated against Bernie.

Larry Ray may be in prison but he isn't hard to find. As I wrote before,

You can find Ray writing in the comments sections of various blogs going off about Rudy and Bernie and blaming them for working with his ex-wife to keep his daughters from him. He and his daughter created this website, which while down at the moment for non-payment of hosting fees, was active with juicy details just last month.

For the connections between Ray, Interstate and Bernie, and between Bernie and Rudy's cousin, Ray Casey and other members of his mayoral administration, a good read is the New Jersey Gaming Complaint against Interstate. The parts about Bernie begin on page 17.

Just as interesting are the pre-trial motions and post-sentencing pleadings in Ray's criminal case which are available on PACER. Here's one Ray's lawyer filed discussing his work as an informant. (pdf)

Then there's the photos. The one at the top of this post is of Ray and Gorbachev at Rudy's office. That's Rudy with his back to the camera.

And, remember the diTommaso brothers who own Interstate? When I last checked, they were set for trial in the Bronx last week on perjury charges stemming from their state grand jury testimony against Bernie. (The DA alleges they lied and hid information.) The DA's website now says they are set for trial in early February, so obviously they got another continuance. But eventually, either they plead and rat, which isn't their style, or all the dirty laundry the Government can put together without them about Interstate, Bernie and officials in Rudy's administration comes out in the wash at trial.

Even if Rudy did nothing wrong personally, it's another example of misdeeds and/or the appearance of gross impropriety by people in his Mayoral administration. Was he ignorant or wilfully blind? Why should we believe he'd be any different as President?

that can not be right; rudy with an honest to goodness pinko, commie rat bas*tard in his office? and he isn't laying some manly, purely heterosexual, spartan-like wrestling moves on him? no way jose!

i can live with the corruption, political and economic, of "the rudy". heck, that's just good old american capitalism at work. the free market system and all that. but this, this is something else again!

how could i, or any other self respecting american, possibly vote for a guy that would allow some sick, socialist, commie fink in his office, without at least trying to take him down?

nope, can't do it. that's it, i give up on "the rudy"!

Matter of fact I remember questions about the previous Denver Mayor...

(I think it was TPM) noted that Rudy Cue Ball's campaign looked like it was at a tipping point.

Thank you, Mr. Ray, for giving it an extra push, maybe just the one it needs to take that last hurtle down the cliff.

    Or circuit around the drain.
