Tennessee goes for its 7th NCAA women's championship against Rutgers.

I am not well versed in the women's game, but I do know Summit is a legendary Wooden-like coach and Candace Parker is the Oden of the women's tournament.

The high level athleticism the women bring today is incredible. There was always great shooting.

coach! candace parker would be a starter on the majority of men's div. I teams.

as much an admirer of summit's that i am, i have been kind of rooting for rutgers. i watched them dismantle LSU sunday nite. for some reason (ok, well, we are talking tennessee), rutgers is considered the underdog in this matchup. they certainly haven't been playing like one.

    go big red! :)

Just goes to prove what I said years ago: The primary difference between the skills displayed in men's and women's basketball at the college level was one of experience - generally, the men had simply been playing longer. As the popularity of women's basketball grew, that difference would shrink. And so it has.

I would just like to say that the Rutgers and Tennessee Women are not spinning thread.  I think you are using an outmoded term.  Anyway, I hope it is a great competitive game, and not one sided.
