Note to the Media, the new political center is the Democratic Party. Just ask Chris Shays:

“Democrats basically grabbed the center and ran with it politically,” Mr. Shays said, adding that he would continue working with the Democrats provided they did not veer from the political center.

This lesson is one the Media needs to take to heart, so they stop acting like fools (see Lauer, Matt) whenever Matt Drudge tells them some nonsense.

    BTD, you can kid your friends, and I can kid my friends.

    But let's not kid each other.

    The center is not demanding we withdraw from Iraq, not demnanding that we tell the terrorists when they can plan on starting their attacks on a retreating army.

    Maybe if we leave all of the equipment and bribe'em woth an $100 billion or so they won't attack.

    What a silly statement!  A substantial majority of Americans (which, by definition, includes "the center") want us to leave Iraq within a year.

    I don't see how any of them can brag when they never touched:

    National Healthcare

    Social Security Reform

    Those are the two issues that effect the center. That the Demos are blowing a chance shows their political will is tied only to the margins.
