Stupid Statement of the Day

I do not care one way or the other if the Democrats hold a Presidential debate on Fox, but my Gawd, if you are going to criticize folks for not appearing, as Kucinich does here, try to not sound so stupid:

Rep. Kucinich . . . criticized his opponents who were unwilling to show up to the CBC/Fox debate. "Fox broadcasts the World Series, too, but is it any less of a World Series because it's on Fox?

Um, last I looked, Fox did not have Brit Hume calling the World Series, Representative. I have an idea, why not have the Democratic Debate on The Simpsons? I mean if you want to be a figure of ridicule, what better venue Congressman?

    Fox NEWS does NOT broadcast the World Series... (5.00 / 1) (#4)

    Um, FOX NEWS (FNC) does NOT broadcast the world series.  The Fox television network does.

    There is a big difference between the two.  One is a right wing machine that appeals to wing nuts.  The other has a much wider audience and often mocks FNC (see the Simpsons).

    Kucinich (as something of a new age nut himself) perhaps should be on FNC.  One thing is for sure.  By agreeing to appear on FNC for the debate, Kook-cinich just pushes his chance of playing in the Presidential World Series down to beneath zero.

    The Simpsons would probably be the best format for a presidential debate.

    Kent Brockman could moderate, I like a question and answer format with the people of Springfield asking the questions.

    The candidates could write their own dialogue (what am I saying, their speech writers could write the candidates dialogue), and maybe some truth might slip through.  Cartoons can take certain liberties that real presidential candidates cannot.

    So then Republicans should avoid debates chaired by Chris Matthews?

    If Democrats can't handle Brit Hume, I can't see how they would handle anything as complex as the White House.

    When your party grows some courage, let the rest of us know.

    The problem with the Fox haters is that they are hypocrites and actually watch Fox sponsored programming. You see Fox would not be Fox without Rupert Murdoch. So if they are going to hate on anyone it should be Rupert Murdoch and all that he touches - not who he hires or what they say. They only follow his lead.

    So Rupert Murdoch is the one. But yet the Fox haters watch Murdoch's successful programming all the time and put dollars in his pocket which makes the expensive to produce Fox News possible.

    They watch Fox Sports. They watch 24, House, The Simpson's, and Idol and many more shows. They watch movies made by Murdoch owned 20th Century Fox.

    So in that way they support Murdoch and Fox News and Hannity and Hume and Kristol's 'Neo-Con' Weekly Standard.

    So if anyone here knows any Fox Haters who would rather boycott Fox at the cost of taking away two very important Dem debates remind them that they actually financially support Fox in so many ways and see what they say.

    Sounds like some corporate influence got into that big old tent there.

    Kucinich poses a real threat to the crooked gang behind the scenes, assaults and affronts are to be expected. It means that he's on the right path.

    There is a concerted effort to shut him up and make him look ridiculous.

    Your efforts to belittle him will haunt you one day. Pity.
