Nancy Grace Secretly Marries, Is Expecting Twins

Nancy Grace, age 47, got married secretly in April and is expecting twins. She will make the announcement on her show today.

Grace married David Linch -an Atlanta investment banker she has known since they attended Mercer College together in the late 1970s.

"We've been in touch all these years and a lot of time we were separated by geography and time," she says. "It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to get married. I told my family only two days before [the wedding].

The photo shows her in her wedding dress and from the description of her vows, the music, the veil and her reading selection at the ceremony, it sure seems like it would have taken more than two days to put together. But, whatever.

Ever the good girl, Nancy says of her good fortune:

"I walked down the aisle to my favorite song, 'Moon River,' and I did my own vows. I read from the Book of Ruth and I wore my sister's bridal veil.

"I never thought it would happen like this," she says. "I thought 'mother' and 'wife' was just not part of God's plan for me.

"This is such a blessing, and I just can't believe that, at my age, I would find such happiness."

I may not agree with a single thing Nancy Grace has ever said on television, but that's no reason not to wish her and her husband well.

It would be nice though if she became a stay-at-home mom for a few years.

Does she grow fangs and bat wings in the dark?

    A long few years.

    That picture is a little frightening. (5.00 / 1) (#2)

Jonathan Turley had some fun with her the other day in the Post.  I had no idea she was ethically challenged.  And she has her own TV show?

reported decision, though I can't seem to find it now.

IIRC, she wildly violated Brady (as opposed to just a little violation) in a murder case she was prosecutin', and it came up in an 11th Circuit opinion on the habeas petition.

And, yes, she is one scary lookin' bride.  Though, to be fair, I've seen scarier - a (now-deceased) neighbor was a very good photographer who did two or three (or four or five) weddings per weekend and, well, some of those brides no amount of airbrush could have helped.

Her wikipedia entry has a pretty good list. But it's not exaustive

And why would one need a pistol - I advocate against violence of any sort (even if you intended to use it on yourself, Edger).

But, more seriously, I do have a couple questions:

    (a) Why marry secretly?  Was one of them holding out for a better offer?

    (b) Doesn't anyone think it more-than-a-little ironic her husband's surname is homophonic to "lynch"?

meant "Harry S. Truman", which totally befuddled me since there is no logical connection between him and her, let alone her kids.

But, don't do yourself any harm - it isn't worth the trouble.

I could never have "Moon River" played at my wedding b/c it will always make me think of Chevy Chase bent over in a dr. office getting a rectal exam. "You ever do time in prison, doc?"

"Just when are those twins due?"  Mmmm...

Not that it matters.  As my Grandma, who could calculate these things like lightning, proving that this is nothing new, used to say, "The late wedding..."
