Just doing my part to help keep the Senators awake tonight during their all nighter.

Update: Think Progress is live-blogging. Sen. Durbin says to call your Senators through the night. Huffington Post is having a live chat Wednesday on how to end the war in Iraq.

Sen. Chris Dodd weighs in. And here's a short video of Phil Ochs singing "I ain't marching anymore." (he sounds like he's on helium but it's the best one I could find.)

    Warner and Lugar and Domenici and the rest still refuse to put their money where their mouths are and continue thinking making nice noises to bullsh*t people and keep killing Americans and Iraqis will work instead, if Republicans continuing to intentionally force their own approval ratings as low as they possibly can is what you mean by a "bust".

    So yes, Republicans still convince themselves that people are as stupid as they treat them. I guess it does work on the twenty six percenters.

    I must have miscommunicated some how. My point was that this particular stunt seems to have been a pointless failure.  If what I read is correct, Reid basically called it off early when he decided an early morning quorum call so everyone could sleep in.  Except for a couple of speeches that could have been delivered (and ignored) anytime, it never really got started.

    After this fiasco, it's easy to see why some polls have Reid's popularity ratings running lower than even Cheney's.

    Maybe it's time for more effective leadership?  I mean if the Democrat's case is really that strong, if their mandate is so clear, surely the failure to capitalize on it after so many attempts is evidence of the need for a change?
