Friday Diary Rescue

We have three new diaries today, two written by AndGarden and one by Denver journalist Dave Cullen, all well worth reading.

Please read them, and if you like them, hit the "recommend button."

TalkLeft is seeking new diarists this week. Details here.

Cross-posting to your own blog and including that in your TL post with a hot-link to your blog is perfectly acceptable. Hopefully, it will get you some traffic. Same for if you're an organizational writer rather than a blogger. Just check out the topic rules.

I'll be promoting the diaries through Labor Day to see if I can get them more traffic and to see if it gets TL more diarists. I think it's a win-win all around.

gets to see and please watch the video because it is too good for words.  I met Celeste Zapalla at Camp Casey in Crawford TX.  She is one of the founding members of Goldstar Families for Peace.  She is a Christian and deeply spiritual.  She is one of the first people in my opinion to make it obvious that the Rightwing does not own Christianity.......it is NOT THEIR FAITH no matter how much they attempt to profess that.  This woman has so much class and style and is nothing short of remarkable.  When counter protesters showed up to protest Camp Casey they didn't bring much with them.  They came into Camp Casey and helped themselves to our water without even asking because they had none of their own and it was very hot.  The first time they did this some us weren't very damned impressed.  Things could have gotten ugly real fast but Celeste quickly grabbed a case of water and took it to their protest area.  She gave it to them and told them that it would be best if water donations from Camp Casey to them were kept to this and if others were arriving behind them to call on their cell phones and put out the word that protesters needed to bring water.  She looks everyone right in the eye when she speaks from her heart.  She's the most noble and kind woman I've ever met.
