Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee Share Pew at Ebenezer Baptist Church

Here's a short video of Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee sharing a pew and singing today at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Here's a live-stream of the service which is still going on. Clinton acknowledged Huckabee in his remarks:

He acknowledged a litany of people, before beginning his remarks on MLK, including his “fellow Arkansan, and a competitor for the presidential nomination. Governor Huckabee welcome.”

” We worked together for several years on something that concerns everybody in this church: trying to turn the tide on childhood obesity, and childhood diabetes,”Clinton said.”A good man.”But he also said that they didn’t agree much on anything.

must be very confusing.  One day singing in Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta and another day threatening people with flag poles.  It's a strange country I inhabit.

I'm not sure how you threaten people (none / 0) (#22)

    with a flag pole...

But his bringing the subject up is what convinced me that he was a Demo Insurgent....

as they come. A great sense of self.

As an aside, I do find it funny that this site, which in a multitude of other threads supports the separation of church and state in it's most absolute sense, jettisons that almost militant anti-religious stance when the subject is Dem candidates and religion. Ah well, it is their prerogative I suppose...

not religion. And see my earlier post on Obama's religious mailing that went out in SC which I definitely do criticize. Thread is "Everyone goes to church on Sunday."

I think to discuss a man like Dr. King w/o recognizing faith, would be like discussing Eli Manning w/o recognizing football. That said, if you don't want religion discussed on this thread, so be it.

so long as it pertains to MLK, Jr. and today's service.

I have nothing against religion. I even subscribe to one. It's the insertion of religion into government that I oppose.  Martin Luther King was not an elected official. There's nothing wrong with political leaders showing respect to him and his legacy.

Selling oneself as a candidate who will restore religion and prayer to government is an entirely different and objectionable matter.

What is Bill like in person?? He appears to have a magnetic personality...have always wanted to meet he and Hillary both....they really seem to care about the little guy and about America....What I find interesting is when Obama wants to drag in republicans his supporters think that is ok but they absolutely crush Bill for trying to be bi-partisan on some issues...He IMO was a wonderful president and good for the economy....

Bill was bipartisan on growing the PoliceState. (none / 0) (#20)

Right now that is McCain, but Rudy is in the mix.
