Late Night: American Girl, Three Versions

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

The Goo Goo Dolls:

My favorite version: The Goo Goo Dolls at the 9/11 Concert for NYC for the firemen who died, it starts at 5:00 in, but watch John Rzeznik dance across the stage around 7:20. What a face, what energy. It also has a great shot of a fireman in the crowd just loving it (around 6:10.)

The Goo Goo Dolls have done fundraisers for both Hillary and Obama, two months apart.

Thanks Jeralyn!  I've noticed they've been playing this song.  What I don't get is why the HRC campaign song isn't "I Won't Back Down" it too is perfect for her.  Thanks again!

at the end of Hillary's rally in Austin tonight. It was fun to see and hear the crowd singing along as they left the building or vied for autographs.

It was a great time (and yes, it was cold for those of us who live here, waiting outside). They only let in the first 5500 people, so I can't say how many showed up.

I stood in line next to a gay couple, and once inside was next to an AA woman and a white lesbian couple. The crowd seemed a great reflection of this country - from young to old, well off to not so well off, Hispanic, Asian, white, African American. While the last group was somewhat limited, I found it interesting that there were more AA men present than women (almost 2 to 1).

That's huge for her, and great news. Was this the town hall meeting that Eva Longoria and Melanie Griffith were at?

She came to the rally after the town hall meeting which, I think, had about 650 in attendance.

No Eva at the Rally, but Ted Danson and Mary S (not going to even try to spell it) where there as was Chelsea.

The horn section in Petty's version doesn't hurt at all.
